Montreal has a soccer team called The Impact and sometimes sports fans from other cities come to Montreal to watch their games.
One group of fervent Toronto FC fans called the Inebriatti, who are led by former Montrealer Eli Zeldin, are particularly fervent in their passions.
The soccer fans are particularly irate that they will not be permitted to attend the game tonight, as they apparently caused too much damage when they last came on April 23.
The group was told Tuesday that they will not be allowed into Saputo Stadium for the upcoming Canadian championship game between the two sides one day later, June 8.
The group has complained the last-minute notice is inconvenient as many Inebriatti have already arranged their trip.
Some might still attend the game, however, but have been warned that anybody recognized as being part of the group will be ejected.
The group issued a statement with several typos but also with some cool words like "obfuscate" and "draconian."
"We have no idea as to why we are being sanctioned again. When we traveled to Montreal in April there were no incidents and we feel that Inebriatti is being unjustifiably targeted and persecuted....This type of obfuscate and draconian treatment, especially on such short notice, is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated," the group wrote on their Facebook page.
