Bill Wong's longstanding legendary Chinese restaurant closed in 2006 and the old man died in 2014 at 93, but the minor restaurant buffet empire he launched has since become the source of much confusion and inter-sibling legal acrimony between son Earl and daughters Jan Wong (a noted Toronto-based journalist) and Julie Wong, who is apparently meant to administer the building at 7965 Decarie.
The most of many recent battles pitting the daughters against Earl sought to get him charged with contempt of court after missing a court date.
Earl noted that he moved to Toronto on July 1, 2015 to look for work is renting a room without internet access and has no money.

A judge appeared to sympathize with his explanations and turned down the initiative to charge him with contempt.
Earl was accused by his sisters initially in 2011 of not supplying leases and tax documents required to manage the property which now houses a design store and a smaller restaurant apparently paying rents of about $5,000 a month.
He and his new wife had hoped to get the suit against him tossed out as frivolous but failed.
According to sisters' complaints, Earl might have been acting as a representative of the company when he had no business doing so, with certain financial implications being central to the story.
It is also noted in court that Earl had planned to move to China to make himself "decision proof," although once again, the context of this claim remains unclear.
The sisters appear to be having a tough time making progress, as a judge shot down their attempt to get an interlocutory judgment in Oct. 2014.
The online court documents describe only small details of a complex case. Coolopolis does not imply anybody did anything wrong but we can confirm that it's a messy situation.
Earl Wong (presumably himself and not somebody sharing his name) was also involved in a case against against young neighbours smashed his windows. It appears to have been settled amicably with the parents of the youth giving him $800.
