Pop musician-turned-impresario Rene Angelil has breathed his final breath.
Rene Angelil is best known for helping cultivate the talents of a young Celine Dion, who he went on to manage and marry for many years.
Angelil received some negative publicity after moving to Las Vegas where he purportedly got bored and gambled one million dollars a week.
But not much negative was heard about him in more recent years and Dion tearfully went on TV to explain how she cut back on her career to tend to her sick husband.
Many applauded this but some interns here at Coolopolis found it a big disingenuous, as people routinely put aside their ambitions to tend to sick loved ones.
The Angelil family has a very prominent family plot at the Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery but it's unclear whether he will be buried there or not.
Before marrying Dion, Angelil was married twice, to Denise Duquette and Manon Kirouac, fathering three kids with that duo.
A much-hairier Angelil is seen here participating in a celebrity charity game in 1972.
He is also seen ont he left as a member of the Baronets, which was a sort of imitation made-in-Quebec Beatles in the 60s.
