The Glen Yards, seen in this photo from the 1950s, was home to a soccer field that hosted competitive games between such local teams as Shell Oil, Ulster United, Montrela South, NDG, Workers Sport, Verdun Rangers. This lasted from about 1927 to 1937 or thereabouts, possibly longer.
